Luka Modric Career

Luka Modric began his professional football career with Dinamo Zagreb in 2002. He quickly established himself as a talented player and was signed by Tottenham Hotspur in 2008. After four successful seasons with the English club, Modric signed with Real Madrid in 2012, where he has been playing ever since. Modric is considered one of the best midfielders in the world and has won numerous awards and accolades for his performances on the pitch.

Modric began appearing for the Croatian National team side since the age of 15. He appeared in the 2006 World Cup, the 2008 Euros, 2012 Euros, 2014 World Cup, 2016 Euros and the 2018 World Cup, 2022 World Cup.

Luka was born on September 9th, 1985 in a village known as Modrici, Zadar, Croatia at the height of the Croatian War of Independence. He is the oldest child of Stipe Modrić and Radojka Dopuđ. His father passed away when he was only six years old leaving Luka’s mother to raise him and his three siblings alone. With no money or resources available during this time period, it was difficult for her to provide for her children adequately.

Luka Modric is married to his childhood sweetheart, Vanja Bosnic. They both tied the knot in May 2010 in a private wedding ceremony. The couple has three children together. Ivano their son born in 2010, Ema born in April 2013 and Sofia born in October 2017.
