 Team Introduction

Inter Miami CF, officially known as Club Internacional de Fútbol Miami, is a soccer club based in the Miami metropolitan area, Florida. Founded by former soccer star David Beckham, who also serves as club president, Inter Miami CF joined Major League Soccer (MLS) in 2020. The team's home ground is the Riccardo Silva Stadium on the campus of Florida International University.

On January 29, 2018, Major League Soccer officially approved Beckham's Miami expansion team. Since entering the Eastern Conference in the 2020 season, the club has signed several renowned players, including Blaise Matuidi, Gonzalo Higuaín, Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba, Lionel Messi, and Luis Suárez.

Even before its establishment, the club gained international attention due to Beckham's involvement as president and co-owner. The club again made headlines in 2023 with Messi's free transfer. After signing Messi, Inter Miami CF won their first major trophy, the 2023 Leagues Cup (a CONCACAF North American competition), securing their place in the 2024 CONCACAF Champions Cup.

Crest,main color and name

On September 5, 2018, Inter Miami CF officially revealed its name, crest, and colors. The crest design and colors are reminiscent of Miami's Art Deco architectural tradition, featuring two white herons with interlocking legs forming the letter "M." The full crest is encircled by the club's name, with Roman numerals "MMXX" representing 2020, the inaugural season. The club's colors include pink, white, black, and a touch of blue, as seen in the "La Palma" jersey. Inter Miami CF's current sponsor is Royal Caribbean Group.

David Beckham, Inter Miami CF's owner, stated, "Today marks an important milestone in the history of Inter Miami CF. We have taken another significant step on our journey to establish this club." Jorge Mas, managing owner of Inter Miami CF, added, "The strength of our city and fans comes from the dreams of people worldwide who call Miami home. Our club's name honors this inclusivity."

New Chase Stadium

In June 2019, David Beckham announced that Freedom Park Stadium was expected to open in 2022. However, on April 28, 2022, the Miami City Commission approved Inter Miami CF's 99-year lease of Melreese Country Club by a 4-1 vote, with the stadium now projected to open for the 2025 MLS season. On March 19, 2023, Melreese Golf Course closed to make way for the construction of Miami Freedom Park.

Construction of Miami Freedom Park began in August 2023, with plans to open in 2025. A groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for later this year. In August 2023, it was announced that the last legal obstacle for Miami Freedom Park Stadium had been cleared, allowing construction to commence with a completion target of 2025. This coincides with the final year of Lionel Messi's contract with the club.

Inter Miami CF Foundation Unveiled 

On National Nonprofit Day, Inter Miami CF announced the establishment of its 501©3 community nonprofit organization, the Inter Miami CF Foundation. Adriana Sandoval, Director of Community Engagement and Foundation, stated, "Our goal through the Inter Miami CF Foundation is to harness the power of soccer to break down barriers on and off the field, ensuring that youth in South Florida have the tools and support they need."
